Smart Energy is Green Energy

Green energy refers to energy generated from renewable and environmentally friendly sources that have a minimal impact on the environment. It encompasses energy forms such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, and biomass. Unlike fossil fuels, green energy sources produce little to no greenhouse gas emissions or other pollutants, helping to mitigate climate change and reduce air and water pollution. Green energy supports sustainability by utilizing natural processes that are replenished on a human timescale, ensuring that the energy supply remains available for future generations.

You need to decide on at least 10 points:

Solar energy

Sun is the most popular renewable energy source

Solar panels offer numerous benefits, making them an essential part of sustainable living. By harnessing renewable energy from the sun, solar panels reduce dependence on fossil fuels, significantly lowering carbon emissions and minimizing environmental impact.

They also provide long-term financial savings, as solar energy can reduce electricity bills and requires minimal maintenance. Furthermore, green energy contributes to energy independence, stabilizing energy costs and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations.

How Solar Panels Work

Solar panels work by converting sunlight into electricity through a process called the photovoltaic effect.

Each panel is made up of many solar cells, typically composed of silicon, which generate direct current (DC) electricity when exposed to sunlight. When photons from the sun hit the solar cells, they knock electrons loose, creating an electric current. This DC electricity is then passed through an inverter, which converts it into alternating current (AC) electricity, suitable for use in homes and businesses.

Any excess energy produced can be stored in batteries or fed back into the electrical grid.
