What is a Smart Security?
Surveillance and security systems are essential tools for ensuring safety in both residential and commercial properties. They provide real-time monitoring and recording, helping to deter potential intruders and prevent unauthorized access. In homes, these systems offer peace of mind by protecting families and personal belongings, while in commercial spaces, they safeguard assets, prevent theft, and help maintain a secure environment for employees and customers. By providing a reliable layer of security, surveillance systems contribute significantly to overall safety and help in quickly responding to any incidents that may arise.
Crime Deterrence
The presence of surveillance cameras deters potential criminals, reducing the risk of theft and vandalism
Real-Time Monitoring
Security systems enable real-time monitoring, allowing for quick response to any suspicious activity
Evidence Collection
Surveillance footage provides crucial evidence in case of a security breach, aiding in investigations and prosecutions
Increased Safety and Peace of Mind
Security systems enhance safety and provide peace of mind by protecting homes and businesses around the clock
The Video Surveillance System consists of:
IP cameras
They are the main element of the system and are designed to capture video images. Thanks to the built-in network card, the IP camera has an IP address and a built-in web interface, which allows them to be independent devices. For example, you can insert a memory card to record an archive and connect it to the Internet to watch the camera online and events recorded to the memory card, from a mobile phone. IP cameras can also be combined with other security systems, namely IP intercoms, security sensors, and access control. This way you get one security ecosystem on your phone in one app.
Recording device (server)
For example, a video recorder. It is needed to save video recordings received from cameras. To record a video archive you need a hard drive. The server can also be deployed on a network-attached storage device (NAS) or on a computer with proprietary software.
Hard Drive
Only specially designed server drives are suitable for 24/7 operation in high definition video surveillance systems.
Network
The CCTV kit can use wired or wireless networks to transmit video data from the cameras to the DVR. The most popular cable is UTP Category 5 twisted pair. This is a computer (network) unshielded cable.
Power supply
The IP camera supports a 12V power supply or a POE switch. PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology allows you to transmit both power and data over a single Ethernet cable. It's a popular solution today, because it is very convenient and effective, as it simplifies the installation process and saves the cost of wiring additional power cables.
How to choose a video surveillance system?
You need to decide on at least 10 points:
Not sure what to choose?
Leave your details and we'll contact you ASAP
The number of cameras and their coverage
It's important to check if the cameras will cover all areas with their viewing angles
01
Quality of cameras
Determine what the cameras should see during the day and what at night
02
Additional functions
Like sound, analytics of numbers, faces, zoom, etc
03
Archive
How long should the video be stored - 2-3 days or a month
04
Recorder
How many hard drives will be used and the anticipated camera feed rate
05
Internet
Leave the existing one or make a new one
06
Network planning and load
Cables, wireless connections, switches
07
Brand you prefer
To choose from, depending on your conditions and needs
08
What additional equipment and consumables are needed? Connectors, mounting boxes, boxes, switches, wireless access points
